• Collaborate with the Regional Vice President and country senior leadership on staffing, recruiting, and retention strategy • Plan, develop, coordinate, and implement HR policies, processes, training, initiatives, and surveys • Administer or oversee compensation, benefits, leave, disciplinary matters, disputes, investigations, performance and talent management, recognition, morale, occupational health and safety, and training programs • Identify staffing and recruiting needs and develop hiring and talent-management practices • Conduct research and analysis of organizational trends using HRIS or talent-management reports and metrics • Monitor compliance with country and regional employment laws and regulations and recommend best practices • Maintain knowledge of regulatory changes, talent management, and employment law and communicate policy and practice changes to upper management • Facilitate professional development, training, and certification activities • Support country directors and the Regional Vice President in addressing staff motivation and performance issues • Perform other duties as required
• Passion for the Mission of Edify • High degree of character and integrity • Strong HR practitioner with knowledge of all aspects of the HR function • Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations • Knowledge of and experience with varied human resource information systems • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills • Strong supervisory and leadership skills • Ability to adapt to the needs of the organization and employees • Ability to prioritize tasks and delegate when appropriate • Proficiency with Google Suite or related software • Proficiency with or ability to quickly learn the organization’s HRIS and talent management systems • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required • Minimum eight years of human resource management experience required • Knowledge of employment law and regulations for the region • Ability to speak fluently in Spanish and English • Master’s degree preferred • Non-profit experience and/or experience working with international staff or vendors preferred • SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP preferred
