• Sell, promote, and demonstrate the RIDGID and Greenlee lines of tools and equipment. • Provide perspectives and insights into customers’ businesses and align priorities with Emerson Professional Tools’ product differentiators. • Articulate the Faster-Safer-Easier value proposition to end customers and jointly address business priorities. • Promote the full RIDGID/Greenlee product line to end users in electrical, mechanical, utility, plumbing, and industrial segments. • Develop relationships with electricians, plumbers, linemen, foremen, superintendents, safety directors, work methods managers, purchasing agents, warehouse managers, project managers, and owners. • Conduct training for apprentices and journeymen at union and non-union training centers. • Develop and execute plans to specify and standardize products at key end-user customers across defined territories. • Report demonstrations, trainings, and opportunities using the 360 data capture application. • Submit presentations, expense reports, and other plans in a timely manner. • Work with Product Managers on leads from regional, national, and global construction and utility firms and place tools at the local level. • Make cold calls to potential leads. • Support multiple territories and channels with PTS Leads and follow up on pre-qualified leads. • Communicate leads to the sales team and convey competitive threats and market trends. • Understand end-user needs and challenges and articulate solutions. • Report to the Regional Sales Manager for the South Region.
• Minimum 3 years of experience with tool applications. • Strong mechanical aptitude with electrical, utility, or plumbing tools. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. • Ability to synthesize large amounts of information into clear, concise summaries. • Good organizational, analytical, problem-solving, and influencing skills. • Proven track record of achieving goals and sales targets. • Strong time and territory management skills. • Willingness and ability to travel 50%, including overnight stays. • Ability to maintain a valid driver’s license and comply with company driving policies. • Legal authorization to work in the United States; sponsorship is unavailable. • Proficiency in MS Outlook preferred. • CRM application experience is a plus. • Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical, mechanical, plumbing, or other pipe trades preferred. • Experience with distribution channels, especially industrial, plumbing, and electrical channels, preferred. • Sales experience preferred.
