📋 Description

• Manage all aspects of the Solutions Engineering team within the F5 Tech vertical, focused on technical sales • Establish objectives and work plans and delegate assignments • Ensure the SE organization is fit for purpose to meet F5 company goals • Conduct performance evaluations, approve paid time off, assign work, provide training and guidance, manage performance improvement plans, take disciplinary action, and interview candidates • Define annual objectives, strategy, and priorities for Engineers • Plan quarterly and yearly headcount with management • Manage candidate recruitment with HR • Develop organizational communication, teamwork, technical development, and professional development • Maintain an effective SE partner plan with professional services, support, marketing, and product management • Scale the SE organization and develop retention, recognition, compensation, and career plans • Ensure customer focus, customer success, transparent escalation plans, and post-sales issue management • Present F5 strategy, solution messaging, and roadmap • Understand customer requirements and challenges and present related F5 solutions • Identify market trends, analyze competition, and provide product feasibility analysis supporting sales efforts

🎯 Requirements

• BS or BA degree required or relevant work experience • Experience managing technical Solutions Engineers in a management role • Thorough understanding of networking technologies and application delivery • Strong interpersonal and presentation skills with the ability to articulate complex technologies • Self-motivated with the ability to persuade direct reports and others outside the organization • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with all levels within an organization • Ability to uphold F5’s Business Code of Ethics and report violations of company policies
