📋 Description

• Run error analysis on real testing data and turn findings into concrete fixes • Make tradeoffs across quality, latency, and cost during long multi-phase runs • Build structured-output pipelines that turn model output into real audit artifacts • Turn ambiguous problem statements into plans, shipped features, and clear decisions about scope • Work with embedded subject matter experts and design-partner firms to rapidly incorporate feedback into agent changes • Expand agent coverage into new internal-audit controls and areas • At senior levels, own major agent areas, set evaluation and error-analysis practices, shape roadmaps and architecture, make model/orchestration decisions, and mentor engineers • At staff level, drive initiatives beyond Internal Audit, establish agent reliability standards, define technical strategy, advise leadership, and represent Fieldguide externally

🎯 Requirements

• Shipped LLM-backed product features to production against real users • Applied AI skillset: evals, error analysis, and model-selection decisions owned and explainable • Comfortable full-stack, with enough backend depth to work in agent orchestration • Autonomy working from an ambiguous spec • Collaborative work across PM, design, and domain experts • Python, TypeScript, React, Postgres, Hasura, or GraphQL preferred • Temporal or comparable durable-execution/workflow orchestration preferred • Hands-on eval experience with Langfuse, Braintrust, LangSmith, Arize Phoenix, or comparable tools preferred • Structured-output work, including schema contracts and generating real artifacts from model output preferred • Startup experience, as a founder or early engineer preferred • 0→1 track record preferred • Experience working directly with customers preferred • Background in internal audit, SOX, accounting, or another regulated domain preferred • Document processing, including PDF and Excel manipulation and annotation preferred • Must be comfortable with human-in-the-loop design, ambiguity, cross-functional collaboration, and production-quality code
