📋 Description

• Build and operate end-to-end fraud detection systems behind Identification APIs • Design, build, and optimize backend systems for real-time data processing and web services • Own SLIs and SLOs for Core API services and use error budgets to balance delivery and stability • Build observability through metrics, structured logging, distributed tracing, and alerts • Participate in on-call rotation, respond to incidents, and lead blameless postmortems • Reduce operational toil through automation and complete incident action items • Perform capacity planning, load testing, and performance tuning • Partner with cross-functional teams on integrations • Mentor other engineers

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years in backend development, including meaningful time operating systems in production • Strong experience with Go, scalable APIs, real-time data processing, and microservices • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, or CloudFormation • Fluency with observability tooling such as Datadog • On-call experience handling live incidents and documenting incident resolution • Strong SQL and experience with DynamoDB, Redis, or Elasticsearch • Proficiency with Git, shell scripting, and CI/CD • Fluency in English • Ability to work independently in ambiguous environments with direct stakeholder contact • Eagerness to mentor junior engineers • BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent experience • Bonus: experience with analytical storage systems, queueing and streaming systems, performance profiling, cost optimization, vector databases, ML-adjacent product engineering, concurrent programming, or internet security and privacy mechanisms • Must be authorized to work from their home location; Fingerprint does not sponsor visas
