📋 Description

• Determine the most appropriate technical means to achieve the project’s objectives while considering technical, budgetary, and time constraints • Ensure smooth communication with design, art, and production departments for optimal integration of project components • Monitor schedules and deliverables against the initial technical plan and anticipate necessary adjustments • Identify and propose solutions to technical issues that could impact production • Ensure code optimization and system performance for optimal fluidity and stability • Organize and lead regular team meetings to track progress, anticipate risks, and verify deadlines • Assist programmers with technical issues and provide support when they encounter roadblocks • Motivate, guide, and support the direct team through coaching and continuous feedback • Contribute to skill development and internal talent through performance monitoring and tailored training plans • Build a relationship of trust with the partner and serve as the point of contact for the area of expertise • Participate in project reviews and post-mortems • Ensure partner satisfaction through transparency and rigorous tracking of requests and adjustments • Participate in discussions with other leads and the Director to share best practices and technical innovations • Develop and optimize reusable tools and features with the team to improve project efficiency • Improve development processes and methods to optimize productivity and deliverable quality

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field, combined with experience deemed equivalent • At least five (5) years of experience in video game programming • Experience as a lead programmer or in a similar role • Strong proficiency in C++ and optimization skills • Proficiency with the Unreal game engine is a significant asset • Good understanding of the various hardware and software layers involved in the execution of a video game • Experience in mobile game development is a significant asset • Excellent command of French and English (written and spoken) • English skills are required to perform the job, as the company collaborates with English-speaking partners • Ability to travel internationally as needed • Ability to anticipate and manage risks throughout the development process • Strong organizational and prioritization skills • Excellent communication and interdisciplinary collaboration skills • Demonstrated curiosity about new technologies • Proven strong team and project leadership skills • Ability to motivate and mentor • Strong analytical and synthesis skills • Ability to communicate ideas clearly • Excellent critical evaluation of a finished product • Ability to question assumptions • Diplomacy, patience, resourcefulness, organization, and attention to detail
