📋 Description

• Prepare design specifications to deliver product requirements defined by product management and product owner • Lead and mentor Professional Band developers • Collaborate with management and NPI teams on product development plans, technology research, budgets, resources, and tools • Handle critical customer and business issues and lead Root Cause Analysis investigations • Develop PC-based applications for configuring Gateways and RTUs within an agile team • Own and develop software modules for requirements in each agile iteration • Collaborate with software validation teams on test automation and test coverage • Ensure requirements traceability to product specifications • Identify and report defects during peer reviews and unit testing • Prioritize and resolve defects with software validation teams • Record and report development status through agile tools • Support tier 3/4 field and customer issues • Lead design of software packages for configuration and maintenance of Industrial Electronic Devices • Log, action, and regularly report customer requirements in JIRA / Version 1 • Support GE Software Factory process-improvement initiatives • Assign and oversee development teams during NPI projects • Mentor test team members and provide feedback, best practices, support, and backup • Work with software leads, business functions, and management across NPI and Life Cycle Support activities • Evaluate new technologies and strategies for business improvement

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in STEM • 5+ years of hands-on experience designing, developing, and validating PC software using C#, Java, C++, and JavaScript • 2+ years of experience with test-driven development • 2+ years of experience leading software developers and supporting product managers and/or scrum masters with execution plans • Knowledge of UML for software design • Understanding of version/configuration control and accurate software update and release tracking • In-depth knowledge of XML schemas • Strong understanding of SDLC and Agile/XP • Ability to synthesize end-user requirements in multicultural, global teams across time zones • Experience developing COTS software • Knowledge of utility/SCADA communication protocols, networking, and Intelligent Electronic Devices; experience is an asset • Experience with industrial applications; experience is an asset • Knowledge of Delphi • Prior experience in engineering, testing, and instrumentation • Strong problem-solving skills • Ability to work independently
