• Act as GEV’s EHS representative on construction sites • Support the GEV site manager and teams on EHS matters • Coordinate EHS activities and ensure implementation of policies during project execution • Develop, review and update the project EHS plan • Participate in site EHS inspections and prepare reports
• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in a technical discipline (mechanical, electrical, etc.) with additional EHS training, or a university degree in EHS • More than 5 years of experience in an EHS role, with exposure to multiple EHS disciplines within construction project environments • Knowledge of the energy sector required (experience in the hydroelectric sector is an asset) • Proven expertise in managing and preventing risks associated with high‑hazard operations (mechanical lifting, confined-space work, working at heights, electrical hazards, etc.) • Good knowledge of EHS regulations for the Province of Quebec
• Overtime paid at 1.5x (after 8 hours per day and for all hours worked on weekends) • Per diem allowance of CAD 44.50 per working day • Mileage allowance of $0.57/km between your home and the worksite • Travel days are paid at the regular hourly rate
