📋 Description

• Define the architectural roadmap for GM’s Simulation Scenario Definition platform and/or its programmatic TypeScript/Python SDK. • Lead the design and implementation of graphical editing tools used by hundreds of engineers to define complex traffic, environment, and sensor scenarios. • Drive the evolution of Python infrastructure, including scenario serialization, validation, and integration with GM’s large-scale cloud compute cluster. • Mentor engineers and establish engineering excellence standards for API design, code quality, and testing practices. • Enable validation of complex AI-driven autonomous driving systems safely.

🎯 Requirements

• 7+ years of professional experience minimum in software development, with a significant portion focused on large-scale platforms, tooling, or SDK development. • Proven ability to lead technical architecture and drive complex, multi-quarter projects from concept to production. • Strong front-end engineering experience for sophisticated graphical applications using TypeScript. • Experience with modern frameworks such as React or Vue and graphical/mapping libraries such as WebGL/Three.js or MapboxGL. • Expert-level proficiency in Python, including best practices, performance optimization, and building robust APIs/SDKs for external consumers. • Track record of mentoring and coaching mid-level and senior engineers. • Solid foundation in 3D graphics, computational geometry, and/or real-time simulation concepts. • Direct experience developing or extending a Domain-Specific Language (DSL) or high-level scripting language. • Background in game engines such as Unity or Unreal or other professional simulation software. • Experience in data visualization techniques for large, complex datasets. • Familiarity with Autonomous Vehicle technology or complex robotics/safety-critical systems. • Must not require GM immigration sponsorship now or in the future.
