⢠Interpret collective bargaining agreements (CBAs) and regulations, including reviewing proposed adverse actions for compliance ⢠Ensure adherence to CBA terms and conditions ⢠Collaborate with union representatives to address and resolve issues ⢠Assist with labor category mapping and review Department of Labor (DOL) wage determinations for Service Contract Act (SCA) activities ⢠Address questions regarding SCA labor categories and wage determination requirements ⢠Manage labor grievances with the assigned HR Generalist and ensure resolution procedures are followed ⢠Serve as the Union Partner for HR and Payroll, overseeing union dues, seniority, wage, and grade placement ⢠Process union dues authorization forms, calculate and initiate dues rates, and implement annual rate increases ⢠Run monthly union dues reports in ADP for union dues and pension reporting ⢠Support CBA negotiations and standardization during renewal processes ⢠Respond to payroll inquiries regarding CBAs ⢠Assist payroll and accounting teams with audit inquiries ⢠Compile and prepare monthly dues and pension spreadsheets ⢠Submit dues and pension spreadsheets and payments to unions ⢠Request updated pension rate spreadsheets annually ⢠Prepare monthly dues and pension check requests ⢠Respond to union questions about monthly dues and pension spreadsheets and payments
⢠Knowledge of Service Contract Act (SCA) requirements, Department of Labor (DOL) wage determinations, and labor category mapping processes ⢠Ability to interpret contract requirements and align positions with applicable SCA labor categories ⢠Familiarity with federal and state labor laws and regulations ⢠Knowledge of HR practices, policies, and collective bargaining ⢠Proficiency in maintaining accurate transaction data and generating reports ⢠Ability to handle confidential information with tact and diplomacy ⢠Ability to learn quickly and thrive in a dynamic corporate environment ⢠Ability to work within cross-functional teams ⢠Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines ⢠Attention to detail and effective problem-solving skills ⢠Effective verbal and written communication with co-workers, outside agencies, partners, shareholders, and business associates ⢠Strong cultural awareness and sensitivity ⢠High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel ⢠Bachelor's Degree or equivalent education and experience ⢠Minimum of 3 years of experience in human resources, labor relations, HR operations, government contracting, or a related field
