📋 Description

• Design, build, operate, and maintain critical systems, owning reliability, performance, and availability • Influence the roadmap and personal career objectives • Work with the team to deliver new features and iterate based on results • Drive projects from ideation through operations after release to customers • Contribute to open-source projects beyond the team’s direct scope • Participate in on-call rotations and own operated services • Mentor and support team members • Participate in design discussions and collaborate with the team • Learn the cloud product, customer needs, and large distributed-system codebase

🎯 Requirements

• Solid experience with at least one programming language; familiarity with Go, Python, C, C++, Rust or similar • Some experience delivering projects from requirements gathering and brainstorming through shipping to customers • Some experience developing software that runs in the Cloud or experience with systems engineering • Experience writing clean, robust, performant, and maintainable software • Ability to work independently in a fully remote setup • Good communication skills • Experience with low-level code for databases, storage layers, or query engines is a bonus • Experience with Kubernetes is a bonus • Experience using Grafana and/or Prometheus in operational roles is a bonus • Exposure to microservices architecture and distributed systems, or desire to learn, is a bonus • Familiarity with on-call, operations/SRE tasks, or infrastructure as code is a bonus
