📋 Description

• Maintain and own the Short Range Planning model for management, Controller, and Executive Director review • Prepare monthly management and budget reports • Compare the Short Range Plan with individual components and scenarios for accuracy • Coordinate with stakeholders to resolve discrepancies • Manage budget and forecast submissions, analyze outputs, and follow up on unexpected variances • Run ad-hoc scenarios • Act as the center of financial modeling and continuous process improvement for the team • Analyze operational areas such as production and capital and operating expenditure decisions • Prepare and maintain mini financial models and ad-hoc models • Support Long Range Plan inputs and drivers for production, operating costs, and capital • Validate and coordinate inputs with Corporate FP&A and stakeholders for the Long Range Plan process • Identify major differences and present analyses for management review • Review the Long Range Plan against the Short Range Plan and provide corporate feedback • Perform production reporting for actuals, budgets, and forecasts, including analysis and presentations • Work with the production team to incorporate operational process changes into the production model • Maintain integrity, timeliness, transparency, risk management, and sound controls in information flow • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, legislation, regulations, policies, work standards, and governance • Maintain internal control and SOX compliance and raise issues promptly

🎯 Requirements

• Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or a related field • CPA or CFA designation is a strong asset • Experience in the mining or heavy industry sector is a plus • Solid financial modeling background using valuation principles including DCF, NPV, ROIC, and IRR • Familiarity with IFRS accounting standards, ideally within mining or natural resources • Ability to synthesize complex financial data into clear, executive-ready presentations and visualizations • Ability to identify financial trends, risks, and opportunities and recommend data-driven solutions • Ability to build strong working relationships across cross-functional teams • Ability to drive process improvements and challenge the status quo
