📋 Description

• Implement and maintain micro-services and backend software components in modern Java • Develop and maintain state-of-the-art features within Apache Druid • Lead in the design and development of major features across teams • Coordinate with PM, UX design, frontend engineers, and backend engineers to deliver major initiatives, new features, and products • Participate in on-call coverage for production issues 2 weeks per cycle, 4–6 times per year • Build customer-facing applications for data management, ingestion, analysis, APIs, and SDKs

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years experience building and maintaining highly scalable and reliable services in Java or a similar language • Experience with Kubernetes, Helm, cloud providers such as AWS, and/or related technologies • Experience using relational and/or OLAP databases • Experience with agile methodologies • Strong communication and coordination skills • Bonus: Experience using Apache Druid • Bonus: Open source contributions to Apache Druid or other open source database • Bonus: Experience using streaming technologies such as Apache Kafka and Apache Flink
