📋 Description

• Track and report on project profitability • Collaborate with project teams, clients, and internal departments to ensure financial performance and high-quality clinical research project management services • Review client agreements and convert them into the internal cost structure • Create and configure projects in project management and financial systems • Prepare and upload project budgets and amendments affecting scope or timeline • Identify and assess pricing for out-of-scope services • Recognize revenue and expenses according to Canadian GAAP and contractual requirements • Prepare journal entries for accruals and project allocations • Review actual revenues and costs against budget and forecast, identifying variances and causes • Prepare and present project financial reports, including profit and loss statements, financial projections, accrual reports, and invoicing status • Monitor project balance sheet accounts and maintain accurate financial records • Review project invoicing and ensure all invoices are issued and paid at study close • Act as the primary client contact for invoicing questions • Work closely with project managers on project requirements and financial implications • Provide financial guidance to project teams on budgets and cost control • Facilitate financial review meetings with project managers and clients • Support internal and external audits with financial documentation • Identify process improvements and contribute to improved financial processes and tools • Perform other assigned responsibilities when qualified or adequately trained

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field • CPA certification is an asset • Minimum of 4 years of experience in project accounting • Excellent knowledge of spoken and written English • Professional judgment and proven interpersonal skills • Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail • Critical thinking and proactive problem-solving skills • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines • Proficiency with financial management tools and office software, including Excel, Power BI, and ERP • Comfortable working in an environment in constant evolution • Must be legally authorized to work in Canada
