📋 Description

• Listen to customers, explain the claims process, answer questions, and provide a seamless service experience • Analyze insurance coverages and explain the protections applicable to the claim • Gather statements from insureds, third parties, and other stakeholders • Determine the circumstances, causes, and coverage eligibility of claims • Assess the potential liability of the insured and third parties • Anticipate recovery opportunities and direct the investigation accordingly • Collaborate with Claims and Underwriting teams, as well as external specialists • Keep customers effectively informed of claim progress • Record and document files in accordance with company standards and guidelines • Ensure sound management of external expenses and costs • Participate in catastrophe response and call overflow support, as needed • Stay current on insurance products, techniques, and investigative services

🎯 Requirements

• PAA designation is an asset • Claims adjuster certification is required • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a field claims adjuster in personal and commercial lines • Comfortable working in a computerized environment and using various claims management systems • Valid and unrestricted driver's licence • Availability for frequent travel throughout Quebec, based on operational needs • Strong analytical, judgment, and decision-making skills in complex situations • Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills • Strong customer service orientation, empathy, and the ability to support customers through challenging situations • Self-motivated, rigorous, and highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple files simultaneously • Bilingual in French and English; regular interaction with English-speaking customers and colleagues across the country is required • No Canadian work experience required, but authorization to work in Canada is necessary
