📋 Description

• Listen to customers, explain the claims process, answer questions, and provide service beyond expectations • Analyze customers’ insurance coverages and explain protections related to claims • Gather information from policyholders, third parties, and other stakeholders to determine loss circumstances, causes, and claim admissibility • Assess potential liability of insured and third parties based on investigation findings • Anticipate recoveries and direct investigations accordingly • Collaborate with related claims and underwriting departments and outside specialists • Communicate claim developments to customers • Thoroughly document customer files according to company standards and guidelines • Manage expenses and external costs • Handle calls during catastrophes and periods of abnormally high call volume as needed • Maintain knowledge of insurance products, investigation techniques, and services

🎯 Requirements

• Claims adjuster licence • Five years of experience as a field adjuster in Commercial Lines • Strong computer skills • Bilingualism in English and French, with regular interaction with English-speaking clients and colleagues across Canada • Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) designation, an asset • Must be eligible to work in Canada from the anticipated start date and throughout employment • Must maintain work eligibility in Canada; Intact does not provide immigration sponsorship or support for employer-specific closed work permits
