📋 Description

• Set the longer-term technical vision for Jane's infrastructure with staff and senior staff engineers • Turn the infrastructure vision into concrete deliverable pieces • Drive hard, ambiguous problems through resolution across multiple teams • Build relationships and consensus to deliver major infrastructure improvements • Provide technical leadership to teams designing cloud infrastructure and making architectural decisions • Improve operational health by reducing noisy alerts, hardening the platform, and simplifying operations • Collaborate with the Application Security Team on infrastructure security and compliance • Help the team gain leverage from AI tooling while managing infrastructure risk

🎯 Requirements

• Deep expertise with AWS, including multi-region deployments and high-scale, highly available cloud services • Strong command of infrastructure as code, particularly Terraform • Solid infrastructure architecture skills • Experience operating databases at scale, including upgrades, scaling, performance tuning, and capacity planning • Track record of running large projects and driving consensus across many stakeholders • Experience at a meaningful-scale, fast-growing company • AI-positive mindset and hands-on experience using AI as a coding and research tool • Comfort participating in an on-call rotation • Technical leadership ability to set direction, raise the bar, and lift up others • Must be currently living and working in Canada • Must be eligible to work in Canada without employer sponsorship • Jane cannot support relocation, visa sponsorship, or employment through a third party or employer of record
