📋 Description

• Shape the architecture for migrating Online Booking and My Account to React • Define routing, data, state, and legacy/new code integration during incremental migration • Identify risks and present clear technical options • Write code weekly using React, TypeScript, and Rails • Establish reusable development patterns • Champion accessibility, including keyboard behaviour, focus management, screen reader support, and testing • Mentor developers through pairing and code reviews • Partner with Design on the component library • Collaborate with teams whose pages are part of the booking flow • Drive gradual rollouts using feature flags and production monitoring • Use agentic AI workflows pragmatically to accelerate migration while maintaining quality • Serve as technical leader on the Patient Booking Web team

🎯 Requirements

• Around 10 or more years of professional software development experience • Experience working at staff or technical lead level • Deep hands-on expertise in React and TypeScript • Experience with client-side routing, browser history, and Redux Toolkit or similar state management • Full-stack background with strong frontend expertise • Experience migrating a legacy frontend to React in stages while live in production • Practical experience applying WCAG 2.1 AA, including keyboard behaviour, focus management, and ARIA • Comfort designing APIs with backend colleagues • Experience with feature flags, gradual rollouts, and production monitoring • Track record of technical leadership, design documentation, decision-making under uncertainty, and developer mentorship • Collaborative, low-ego working style • Everyday use of AI in coding workflows and curiosity about agentic workflows • Ruby on Rails experience is nice-to-have, not required • Bonus: hands-on screen reader testing with JAWS or NVDA • Bonus: experience building embeddable widgets or web components • Must currently live in Canada and have legal right to work in Canada without employer sponsorship • Must be willing to participate in AI-supported interviews
