📋 Description

• Lead mechanical commissioning activities for data center projects across Canada • Plan, develop, and execute full lifecycle commissioning (L0-L6) for small, medium, and large-scale data center projects • Lead development, review, and approval of mechanical commissioning test scripts and procedures (L1-L5) • Apply ASHRAE commissioning requirements and guidelines • Perform design drawing, specification, and submittal reviews • Produce and validate Sequences of Operation (SOO) and Test and Balance (TAB) plans • Execute hands-on commissioning of chillers, cooling towers, CDUs, CRAHs, CRACs, RTUs, AHUs, and high-density liquid cooling systems • Conduct pre-functional inspections, functional testing, and integrated systems testing • Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical equipment issues and coordinate resolutions with contractors, vendors, and stakeholders • Serve as primary commissioning point of contact for mechanical infrastructure, controls, and monitoring systems • Write SOPs and MOPs and compile project documentation into site-specific Systems Manuals • Support proposal development, team composition planning, budget management, and client commissioning reports • Use QA/QC software including BIM360, CxAlloy, and Facility Grid • Conduct network diagnostic testing, heat load testing, scenario testing, and integrated systems validation

🎯 Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of documented data center and/or mission critical commissioning experience • Ideally, experience with greenfield projects of 25MW+ capacity • Knowledge and experience in third-party commissioning of controls/automation systems, chillers, cooling towers, CDUs, CRAHs, CRACs, RTUs, and AHUs • Strong project management and coordination skills • Ability to manage multiple concurrent commissioning activities and maintain effective stakeholder communications • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Strong proficiency in MS Project, PowerPoint, Word, and Excel • Ability to travel overnight up to 30% to client sites across Canada, typically not exceeding two-week durations • Preferred: experience commissioning data center high-density liquid cooling systems • Preferred: accredited engineering or technology degree; equivalent industry experience acceptable • Preferred: Commissioning Professional certification from a recognized industry authority • Preferred: Professional Engineer (P.Eng/PE) designation • Preferred: Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
