📋 Description

• Accurately categorize transactions, reconcile accounts, and maintain clean ledgers • Identify and resolve bookkeeping discrepancies • Conduct monthly financial reviews to ensure clients’ books are accurate and up to date • Serve as the main point of contact for small business owner clients • Communicate professionally with clients via chat, email, and phone • Build client relationships and explain financial information clearly • Identify and resolve client concerns proactively • Own the client experience from start to finish • Collaborate with internal teams using Bench App, Salesforce, and Slack

🎯 Requirements

• QuickBooks Online Certification is required (active certification) • 1+ year of experience in bookkeeping, auditing, or tax preparation • 1+ years of customer-facing or client service experience, ideally supporting U.S.-based clients • Excellent spoken and written English proficiency • Strong customer service mindset and ability to explain financial information clearly and empathetically • Hands-on experience using QuickBooks Online • High attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and proactive approach • Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field, or equivalent experience • Must be based in the Johannesburg area • Available to work North American business hours (9 AM–5 PM EST or PST) • Must meet Bench’s minimum hardware and internet requirements
