📋 Description

• Serve as the go-to expert for complex accounting areas, including tax, owning them from start to finish • Share accounting knowledge with the team • Own expected credit loss (ECL) accounting • Help establish accounting for new products so they are correctly recorded in systems from day one • Automate connections between systems to reduce manual financial-data processing • Strengthen processes and controls • Help build the accounting foundation for KOHO Bank • Maintain accurate books and produce financial reporting for leadership, investors, and regulators • Report to the Director, Financial Accounting & Reporting • Work as an individual contributor with no direct reports

🎯 Requirements

• CPA (or equivalent accounting designation) • 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including senior-level experience working with little supervision • Strong understanding and application of IFRS accounting standards • Clear communication skills and ability to explain numbers to non-accountants • Comfort with change and working in a fast-moving environment • Must be legally eligible to work in Canada • Role is based remotely in Canada
