📋 Description

• Operate as Liftoff’s technical accounting expert • Draft and review technical accounting memos • Guide accounting policy and ensure financial statements appropriately reflect complex transactions • Research and document technical accounting positions covering revenue, stock-based compensation, leases, debt, and capitalized software • Prepare journal entry support for complex accounting areas and significant non-recurring transactions • Own accounting policies • Drive implementation of new accounting standards through research, operationalization, and disclosure impact • Manage equity-related technical accounting from grant setup review in Equity Edge Online through disclosures • Prepare statements of equity and cash flows and financial statement footnotes, including earnings per share, stock-based compensation, and stockholders’ equity • Prepare stock-based compensation expense support for quarterly journal entries • Assist with preparation and tie-out of proxy disclosures • Collaborate with Legal, FP&A, and business teams on contracts and billing structures • Support audits with technical documentation

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance, and 6 years of experience • CPA required • Public accounting experience, ideally Big 4 experience • Expertise in US GAAP • Ability to take ownership of deliverables, deadlines, risks, and outcomes • Ability to manage competing priorities and tight deadlines while maintaining attention to detail • Excellent analytical skills and ability to accurately interpret data • Strong communication skills for explaining complex technical accounting matters to cross-functional stakeholders and auditors • Adaptability in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment • Must work during the Pacific time zone
