📋 Description

• Ship features across the full platform, from customer-facing visibility dashboards to operator-facing AI-assisted workflows • Build TypeScript monorepo applications, including React frontends and Node.js backend services • Design and own PostgreSQL schema changes, migrations, query performance, and logistics data modeling • Build and maintain durable Temporal.io integration workflows connecting TMS platforms such as CargoWise, Descartes, and McLeod • Work with event-driven AWS patterns using SQS, Kinesis, EventBridge, and Lambda • Design resilient integrations for inconsistent APIs, XML payloads, FTP file exchanges, and unpredictable response times • Contribute to multi-region AWS infrastructure using Terraform and Spacelift • Improve observability and reliability using Datadog, Sentry, and structured logging • Participate in incident response and own system reliability • Participate in code reviews, architectural discussions, and design reviews • Mentor engineers in the US and India • Participate in 24x7 on-call rotations

🎯 Requirements

• 9+ years of professional software engineering experience, with meaningful time spent building and operating production SaaS applications • Strong proficiency in TypeScript and Node.js • Deep experience with React and modern frontend tooling, including Vite, TanStack Query, component libraries, and state management • Solid understanding of relational databases, particularly PostgreSQL, including schema design, query optimization, indexing strategies, and migrations • Experience building and operating services on AWS-based architectures • Comfort working in monorepo environments, including Nx and Yarn workspaces • Strong testing discipline with Jest/Vitest, integration tests against real databases, and Cypress E2E tests • Clear communication skills, including technical tradeoff articulation, concise design documentation, system explanation, and constructive code review feedback • High ownership and ability to resolve ambiguous or broken requirements • Preferred: Temporal.io or similar workflow orchestration engines • Preferred: GraphQL, particularly PostGraphile, code generation tooling, or Apollo/URQL clients • Preferred: tRPC • Preferred: Terraform and Spacelift • Preferred: logistics, supply chain, or freight technology background • Preferred: AI/ML integration, LLMs, document extraction pipelines, or AI product features • Preferred: feature flags, Datadog, or multi-region deployments
