📋 Description

• Analyze, underwrite, and recommend approval of loan and line-of-credit applications within service standards • Provide solid justification for lending recommendations • Communicate loan decisions and requirements to advisors • Respond to client, financial advisor, and staff inquiries by phone or email • Analyze and interpret personal and corporate financial statements and other underwriting documents • Review and approve, within delegated lending authority, loan transactions up to $1,000,000 • Recommend approval of more complex loan transactions exceeding $1,000,000 • Process complex new loan applications according to bank policies and procedures • Prioritize daily work • Adjudicate security requirements for the existing loan portfolio • Review loans for satisfactory repayment history, continued security documentation, and status • Adhere to risk, audit, and compliance requirements • Process a high volume of applications • Meet and exceed defined service-level agreements and engage the Manager when SLAs are not met • Provide superior customer service to advisors and clients

🎯 Requirements

• 3-5 years of lending experience • Excellent PC skills including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint • Good conflict resolution skills • Sound problem-solving skills • Strong negotiation and influencing skills • Excellent time management and organizational skills • Ability to organize and multitask • High accuracy and strong attention to detail • Team-oriented with a positive attitude • Excellent knowledge of banking policies, procedures, and products is preferred • Strong knowledge of the banking industry is preferred • Strong knowledge of banking systems is preferred • Sound knowledge of insurance and investment-based products is preferred • Bilingualism in English and French is an asset; if based in Québec, proficiency in both languages is required to support clients from various provinces outside Québec
