Male, female, and ethnically diverse Care Partners are assigned to each location making regularly scheduled brief worksite visits.

📋 Description

• Serve as a messenger and conveyor of faith, mission, and purpose • Interact with companies, employees, and the community in a manner exhibiting character through personal and spiritual disciplines • Make regular visits to company worksites, usually weekly, to interact with employees and build relationships of trust and friendship motivated by Christian faith • Visit employees or immediate family members in hospitals, nursing homes, funeral homes, family residences, or other sites • Provide confidential pastoral discussions and referrals for employees and immediate family members facing personal, family, health, grief, parenting, financial, and other life issues • Assist with planning, conducting, or attending funerals and provide follow-up grief support • Make jail visits to employees and immediate family members when needed • Serve notifications of death and serious injuries and encourage people impacted by tragedies • Provide post-termination care for laid-off or terminated employees • Facilitate spiritual enrichment activities without leading them • Provide literature and other resources for employees' life issues • Represent companies to clients/customers when ministry services are appropriate • Participate in new employee orientation to explain the Employee Care Service and Care Team Member role • Perform other requested duties within the Letter of Agreement, with Executive Director of Operations permission

🎯 Requirements

• Fluent in English; Hindi speaking an asset • Ability to work as a member of an interdisciplinary group and in an interfaith setting • Ability to accept different lifestyles, cultures, beliefs, and values • Skills to effectively listen and interact with clients, employees, and their families • Skills to deliver community presentations • Skills to deal effectively with family members and staff under stressful circumstances • High regard for the dignity and worth of clients, employees, and their families • Ability to cope with stressful situations and document accurately according to standards • Spiritual maturity and commitment to a Christian lifestyle and MCC's Ministry values • Fundamental understanding of the Holy Bible and its proper application • Saving faith in Jesus Christ and active participation in a biblically based church • Ability to interact professionally with diplomacy, patience, and courtesy with diverse groups • Ability to establish and maintain effective and cooperative working relationships while providing exceptional customer service • Ability to make administrative and procedural decisions and judgments on sensitive, confidential issues • Excellent oral and written communication skills • Ability to maintain emotional stability to cope with human suffering, emergencies, and other stresses • Skill in analyzing information to define and follow up on problems or objectives • Ability to identify solutions and solve problems • Skill in interpreting policy and procedures related to the position and keeping others informed • Computer proficiency using Google Suites, Microsoft Office, internet, email messaging, and web-based software applications • Ability to understand and learn new technology programs • Must have active provincial license and auto insurance • Must pass a pre-employment background check and reference check
