Marketplace Care Canada provides a personalized and proactive employee care service through the use of Care Teams which are voluntary to use, neutral from company operations, and strictly confidential. Male, female, and ethnically diverse Care Partners are assigned to each location making regularly scheduled brief worksite visits.

📋 Description

• Serve as a messenger and carrier of the organization’s faith, mission, and purpose • Interact with companies, their employees, and the community • Regularly visit company worksites, typically on a weekly basis • Visit employees or their immediate family members in hospitals, long-term care facilities, retirement residences, funeral homes, private residences, or other locations • Provide confidential pastoral conversations and referrals to appropriate resources • Coordinate specialized assistance for employees or their immediate family members • Participate in planning or conducting funerals and provide bereavement follow-up • Conduct correctional facility visits as needed • Collaborate with companies in response to deaths, serious injuries, and other tragedies • Support employees who have been laid off or terminated during their career transitions • Facilitate spiritual enrichment activities • Provide literature and resources addressing life challenges • Represent companies to their clients in appropriate situations • Participate in new-employee orientations and introduce the support service • Perform other duties requested by senior management, with authorization

• Ability to work as part of an interdisciplinary team and in an interfaith environment • Openness to different lifestyles, cultures, beliefs, and values • Excellent listening skills and ability to interact with clients, employees, and their families • Ability to deliver presentations to community audiences • Ability to intervene effectively with families and staff in stressful situations • Spiritual maturity and commitment to a Christian lifestyle and the values of MCC/MCHAP ministry • Fundamental understanding of the Holy Bible and its proper application • Profession of saving faith in Jesus Christ and active participation in a Bible-based church • Demonstrated ability to interact professionally, diplomatically, patiently, and courteously with diverse groups • Ability to establish and maintain effective, harmonious working relationships while providing exceptional service • Ability to make administrative and procedural decisions and exercise judgment regarding sensitive and confidential matters • Demonstrated excellent oral and written communication skills • Emotional stability to cope with human suffering, emergencies, and other sources of stress • Ability to analyze information, identify solutions, and solve problems • Proficiency with Google Workspace/Google Suite, Microsoft Office, the Internet, email, and web applications • Ability to understand and learn new technology tools • Valid driver’s license and current automobile insurance; active state driver’s license and state-minimum auto insurance where servicing clients • Must successfully complete a pre-employment background check and reference check
