📋 Description
• Verify insurance eligibility and benefits • Work rejected, denied, or underpaid claims: identify root causes, correct coding errors, appeal when appropriate, and prevent repeat issues • Monitor aging reports, track outstanding balances, and reconcile accounts receivable • Manage A/R and follow up on unpaid claims and patient balances • Handle patient billing questions professionally • Collaborate with providers to improve documentation accuracy • Maintain organized, confidential billing records • Track payer changes and stay current on coding updates
🎯 Requirements
• 3+ years of dermatology billing/AR experience. This is a mid-level to senior position. • Strong ICD-10, DRG, CPT, and modifier knowledge • Proficiency with billing software and EHR systems • Takes ownership, doesn't need hand-holding, but is a team player • Clear and professional communication with providers, payers, and patients
