⢠Adjudicate disability claims from the initial decision through development of case management plans. ⢠Identify required supports, monitor treatment, and track achievement of case management plans. ⢠Work with claimants, employers, and providers involved in each case. ⢠Actively manage files and communicate regularly with all stakeholders. ⢠Assess use of claims tools such as rehabilitation and request ongoing medical information as needed. ⢠Assess key dates throughout the claim lifecycle and update case management plans regularly. ⢠Ensure assigned-case tasks meet service-level standards. ⢠Make timely and potentially difficult decisions and communicate them effectively. ⢠Manage escalations with employers and claimants. ⢠Build relationships with claimants, treatment providers, physicians, employers, group administrators, human resources, and lawyers. ⢠Ensure effective and consistent use of the electronic case management system.
⢠University degree or completed college diploma related to occupational health, disability management, kinesiology, Education, Human Resources, or Legal Study areas are assets but are not limited. ⢠Combination of education and/or experience with well-developed analytical, decision-making and problem-solving skills. ⢠Experience in a professional setting demonstrating critical decision-making, problem-solving, teamwork, autonomous work, and ability to pivot quickly. ⢠Experience assessing different information sources to inform decisions and advise customers is a definite asset. ⢠Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel and Outlook). ⢠Strong technical aptitude and ability to multitask across multiple software applications while maintaining detailed online notes and tracking information. ⢠Bilingualism required to meet the needs of English-speaking clientele. ⢠Proficient English is required. ⢠Exceptional written and oral communication skills. ⢠Well-developed organizational and prioritization skills. ⢠Innovative mindset and ability to influence operational change with a primary focus on client needs. ⢠Experience providing customer care, support, and assistance, with ability to communicate complex information clearly. ⢠Strong initiative, leadership, and strategic thinking. ⢠Excellent problem-solving and ability to work independently and with all levels of the organization. ⢠Ability to maintain a high degree of accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
