📋 Description

• Own the technical strategy for an engagement workstream and drive it to an agreed target state • Coordinate with customer technical leadership on architecture, sequencing, and risk • Review designs, code, and infrastructure as code and set engineering standards • Make and document architecture decisions, trade-offs, and deferred decisions • Develop project plans with realistic milestones and dependencies with the Engagement Manager and customer • Ensure appropriate staffing and escalate skill gaps • Mentor consultants in technical depth, delivery discipline, and customer-facing skills • Own engagement quality and completion, track milestones, unblock teams, and lead remediation • Coordinate technical execution with partner consultants and vendor teams in an Agile delivery model • Contribute to AWS and partner resource utilization and new delivery offerings • Design and deploy AWS foundational environments using Control Tower and Landing Zone Accelerator • Define and implement AWS multi-account architecture, Organizations, OUs, account vending, SCPs, centralized logging, and security tooling • Implement IAM, Identity Center, guardrails, and security baselines • Lead on-premises discovery, dependency mapping, right-sizing, and migration wave planning • Select and drive rehost or replatform migration strategies per workload • Oversee VMware and on-premises VM replication into EC2, image conversion, and OS/driver remediation • Direct replatforming to RDS, ALB/NLB, and CloudFront • Own hybrid connectivity design using Direct Connect, Site-to-Site VPN, Transit Gateway, DNS, and Active Directory integration • Oversee storage and database migrations and validate data integrity • Set standards for Terraform, AWS CDK, pipeline automation, and operational readiness • Produce design documents, migration runbooks, diagrams, decision records, and hand-over guides

🎯 Requirements

• 10+ years designing and operating infrastructure • 3+ years leading a technical workstream on customer-facing engagements • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or similar • Hands-on production AWS experience • Experience setting engagement technical strategy and coordinating with customer technical leadership • Experience building AWS foundational environments with Control Tower, Landing Zone Accelerator, AWS Organizations, and multi-account architecture • Demonstrated cloud migration experience; large-scale, multi-wave migrations are a strong plus • Practical experience with rehost and replatform migrations • AWS Transform for VMware experience or strong working knowledge is a significant plus • Hands-on experience with AWS Migration Hub, AWS Application Migration Service (MGN), and VM Import/Export • Strong AWS networking fundamentals, including VPC design, routing, Transit Gateway, Direct Connect/VPN, and DNS • Infrastructure as Code experience with Terraform and AWS CDK • At least one scripting language: Python, Bash, or PowerShell • Current ability to review code and IaC • AWS certification required • AWS Solutions Architect – Professional or DevOps Engineer – Professional preferred • Eligibility to work in the US for any employer • Must disclose whether employment visa sponsorship is currently or potentially required
