📋 Description

• Own the overall creative and gameplay vision of a new game • Ensure game systems and design elements work cohesively to deliver the intended player experience • Lead a small development team and partner with the VP/General Manager of Games and CCO • Translate strategic creative and artistic objectives into the game • Oversee gameplay progression, pacing, balance, and overall quality • Work with the VP, General Manager of Games, and CCO to ensure game design, art, and story meet the established vision • Define project methods and inform all teams • Communicate quality and content expectations to the design team • Translate game design and gameplay elements for Level Design and Engineering implementation • Harmonize design across departments and manage Jira requests for Engineering, Art, Sound, and FX • Collaborate with Art, Engineering, and Production to ensure smooth operations • Report regularly to the VP of Games and upper management on project status • Analyze game aspects and objectives and communicate them to creative teams • Develop and implement the global vision and creative foundations for the game • Develop the game's creative vision in line with the product vision • Participate in proposal development and brainstorming • Participate in project follow-up meetings during pre-production, production, and live phases • Write clear documentation, including required visual references

🎯 Requirements

• 4+ years of leadership experience in the video game industry (or other relevant experience) • 10+ years of design experience in a lead or management role • Knowledge of Unreal and its limitations • Knowledge of prototyping game ideas and working in a small team to bring ideas to life • Familiarity with project management software (e.g. Jira) • Exceptional organizational, interpersonal, and presentation skills • Effective cross-departmental communication with programming, art, design, marketing, and other disciplines • Highly collaborative and innovative spirit • Ability to consider technical and production feasibility when developing concepts • Motivation to mentor and guide the next generation of creatives • Autonomy in using presentation and design tools such as PowerPoint, Photoshop, and Google Slides • Solid understanding of the market and passion for video games • CV highlighting education, experience, skills, and games shipped
