📋 Description

• Lead operation, maintenance, security, and optimization of data center infrastructure, enterprise applications, and IT services • Manage hardware and software systems, including servers, storage, virtualization platforms, and peripherals • Administer routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, connectivity services, and interconnection solutions • Oversee OpenStack and OpenShift environments, capacity planning, security compliance, and hosted platforms • Develop and enforce IT governance, security policies, disaster recovery, backup solutions, and operational procedures • Lead infrastructure teams through technical guidance, performance management, resource planning, and service delivery • Lead performance evaluations, goal setting, performance ratings, individual performance plans, and year-end reviews • Monitor infrastructure, application, and network performance using alerting, reporting, and capacity management • Manage vendors, contracts, software licensing, asset inventory, procurement, and service-level agreements • Drive continuous improvement, track KPIs, prepare executive status reports, and implement operational efficiencies • Research emerging technologies and industry best practices; provide strategic recommendations

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. (preferred) • 5+ or more years of experience in data center maintenance in technical role • 5+ years of proven mastery and experience in hands-on IT role • Over 5 years of experience managing direct reports in a mid-level leadership role, overseeing performance reviews, employee development goal setting, appraisals, and resolution of team escalations • Proven experience as an IT Systems Administrator with expertise in OpenStack, OpenShift, VPN, AWS, Azure, and Office 365 • Strong knowledge of VMWare • Strong knowledge of Windows, MacOS, and Linux operating systems, virtualization technologies, and cloud platforms • Experience with LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VLANs • Knowledge of cybersecurity practices and data backup and recovery • Excellent problem-solving and complex IT troubleshooting skills • Strong communication skills and ability to explain technical issues to non-technical users • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities • Self-sufficient and takes initiative • Ability to find solutions to roadblocks and navigate ambiguity • Experience in broadband, telecommunications, or infrastructure-as-a-service companies
