📋 Description

• Own hands-on engineering for games and addons • Define the game's technical strategy and execution • Develop gameplay and architectural solutions from prototyping through production • Balance code quality, speed, stability, and iteration • Collaborate with design, art, production, and engineering teams • Establish and maintain source control, build pipelines, repositories, build servers, and technical workflows • Own the technical roadmap and decide whether to build, buy, outsource, or adopt technologies • Build tools, workflows, and shortcuts enabling designers and artists to iterate independently • Provide early feasibility input and translate technical constraints into actionable terms • Scope, brief, and review external contractor work • Maintain performant, maintainable, and shippable systems • Integrate new technologies and third-party assets to support rapid development and release

🎯 Requirements

• Proven experience as a Senior Engineer on shipped games • Background in Unity, with deep understanding of scalable, systemic architectures • Expertise in rapid prototyping, optimisation, and live iteration workflows • Comfortable working on existing code bases, full game, DLC or port releases • Pragmatic approach to technology, focusing on what moves the game forward • Interest in integrating new technologies and third-party assets to accelerate progress • Passion for strategy games and a drive to turn tech excellence into player delight • Remote-working position open to anyone within the UK & Europe
