Optain offers a Software as a Medical Device (SaMD) called Eyetelligence Assure paired with a portable automatic fundus camera as a turnkey, ready-to-use solution that captures and immediately analyses retinal images to produce risk assessment reports. The platform is designed to integrate easily into clinical workflows with minimal training or setup, enabling faster diagnosis, standardized assessments, and broader access to disease screening for providers, patients, and insurers.

📋 Description

• Own the US customer operations function connecting commercial momentum to customer outcomes • Manage camera ordering and inventory from manufacturing partners • Forecast hardware demand against the sales pipeline • Coordinate hardware delivery and activation for new customers • Stand up and run the US camera servicing function, including repairs, replacements, and loaner units • Set customer uptime expectations • Partner with sales on commercial terms • Draft and redline customer contracts • Manage outside counsel when warranted and drive agreements through signature • Design contract structures for health systems, provider groups, and independent practices • Secure data rights supporting the AI roadmap • Build contracting infrastructure including templates, workflow tooling, signing-authority routing, and playbooks • Manage legacy contract obligations and support compliance with customer agreements • Draft internal policies and SOPs • Build AI-powered automation to reduce manual workflow and support scalable operations

🎯 Requirements

• 3-5 years in business or operations roles, with hands-on ownership of hardware logistics or commercial contract management • Startup experience strongly preferred, including experience in a Series A or B environment • Prior management consulting or investment banking experience is a plus • Experience in a regulated industry is a strong plus; medical device, IVD, or health tech with a hardware component is ideal • Systems thinker who improves processes • Hands-on experience with AI tooling, including building or automating real workflows • Exceptional written communication and attention to detail • Takes ownership seriously, communicates proactively, and operates comfortably with limited structure
