📋 Description

• Architect, design, and build automation and integration tests for backend services and infrastructure engineering quality initiatives • Own technical components of test frameworks, test infrastructure, and test tooling • Design, create, maintain, and optimize test automation frameworks for Optro web applications • Develop and lead synthetic data and generative AI strategy • Design and implement an architectural roadmap to transition legacy test frameworks into self-healing, AI-driven ecosystems • Develop deep understanding of system code structure and component interactions • Evaluate, prototype, and implement agentic tooling to enhance test automation frameworks and tooling • Manage technical communications and mentor more junior SDETs • Collaborate with infrastructure, platform, architecture, and product teams • Provide technical feedback on product design, architecture, and functional testability • Research testing tools, frameworks, methodologies, and trends; upgrade practices and processes • Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and scripts based on API- and client-driven design specifications • Drive adoption of software test development standards and best practices to improve scalability, reliability, defect detection, and delivery velocity

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in engineering (CS or EE) or equivalent experience • 9+ years of proven work experience in Software Development in Test • 4+ years of experience using Playwright or Cypress • 4+ years of experience coding with JavaScript and/or TypeScript (preferred) • 4+ years of experience in test automation for SaaS and/or B2B-facing internet-based applications • 3+ years of experience building test automation with NodeJS, NPM, or similar technologies • Experience building infrastructure-as-code automation with Terraform, GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, or similar tools • Demonstrable experience researching new technologies to improve application, infrastructure, and/or team productivity • Demonstrable experience debugging complex issues across multiple services or application-stack layers • Strong technical skills and a track record of architectural decisions • Experience testing web applications on AWS, Azure, or other cloud services • Experience with Agile-Scrum and other Agile methodologies • Good analytical skills for troubleshooting and peer review with developers • Ability to manage multiple competing priorities • Excellent time management and organizational skills • Strong communication and technical leadership skills • Passion for designing, developing, and testing code, and learning new technologies • Background check required • Must be legally authorized to work in the country where the job is based; immigration or employment sponsorship requirements are assessed in the application
