📋 Description

• Build and configure the Red Hat-hosted HIP layer using Apache Camel microservices on Spring Boot • Expose and manage APIs through 3Scale • Implement integration logic connecting source systems to the messaging/event backbone • Build, configure, and operate the Kafka messaging layer underpinning the HIP-to-Azure event backbone • Build and configure Kafka topics, partitions, and consumer groups according to design and architecture standards • Implement Kafka producer/consumer logic within Camel routes and Spring Boot services • Implement schema registry integration, schema versioning, and backward/forward compatibility rules • Build Camel routes and Spring Boot microservices implementing integration flows defined in LLDs • Configure and expose APIs through 3Scale, including API definitions, security policies, rate limiting, and versioning • Containerize and deploy services to OpenShift, including health checks, scaling, and resilience configurations such as circuit breakers and timeouts

🎯 Requirements

• Secret clearance required • 4+ years hands-on experience with Apache Kafka in production environments • Strong Java/Spring Boot development skills, with direct experience integrating Kafka clients into Camel routes • Experience with schema registry (Confluent or Red Hat AMQ Streams equivalent) and Avro/JSON Schema • Experience with Kafka operational tooling, including Prometheus/Grafana monitoring, consumer lag tracking, and partition rebalancing • 4+ years hands-on experience with Apache Camel (Java DSL preferred) and Spring Boot microservices • Experience deploying and operating services on Red Hat OpenShift or Kubernetes equivalent • Hands-on experience with 3Scale API Management, including API definition, policy configuration, security, and developer portal basics
