📋 Description

• Work directly on features and bug fixes alongside engineers to improve product quality. • Provide training and technical guidance on test automation. • Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts and test suites. • Create detailed test plans and test cases. • Test products to identify, isolate, and track defects. • Perform manual testing when necessary. • Ensure products meet business and technical requirements, customer expectations, and performance and reliability standards. • Contribute to Plotly's overall product testing strategy. • Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and project planning meetings. • Block software releases that do not meet quality standards. • Help cultivate an environment of exceptional software quality.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field. • 5+ years of related professional experience as a software developer in test or similar role. • Experience with test automation frameworks and scripting languages such as Cypress, Playwright, JavaScript, and TypeScript. • Proficient in writing test cases, developing automated scripts, utilizing automation tool frameworks, and maintaining test data sets. • Experience with load and performance testing, including design, development, implementation, and reporting. • Familiarity with containerized environments, including Docker and Kubernetes. • Experience testing APIs and RESTful services. • Excellent organizational skills to handle multiple tasks within project timelines. • Effective communication skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams. • Passion for continuous learning and staying updated with emerging technologies, industry trends, and software testing and quality assurance best practices. • Python and/or Go experience, data science and machine learning concepts, GitHub Actions, CI, and DevOps practices are listed as nice to have.
