📋 Description

• Act as a business partner to the leadership, sales, project, and operations teams • Provide advice on legal and commercial matters related to the company’s activities • Deliver pragmatic, innovative, and business-oriented recommendations • Identify, assess, and manage commercial, operational, and legal risks • Collaborate on innovation, transformation, and process optimization projects • Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of commercial agreements • Support strategic negotiations with clients, suppliers, and partners in Canada and the United States • Improve contract templates, negotiation processes, and CLM tools • Collaborate on strategic initiatives and growth projects • Participate in acquisitions, joint ventures, strategic partnerships, financings, and corporate reorganizations • Lead or oversee due diligence processes and coordinate internal and external stakeholders • Coordinate matters assigned to external law firms and manage budgets • Participate in the management of litigation, claims, and commercial disputes • Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and corporate obligations • Contribute to legal policies, procedures, training, and best-practice tools

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Law • A degree in Business Administration is an asset • Member in good standing of the Quebec Bar or another North American bar • 5 to 8 years of experience in business or commercial law, acquired in private practice or within a corporate legal department • Experience in the manufacturing sector is an asset • Excellent written and spoken French and English required • Significant experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial agreements • Strong interest in business matters, negotiation, operations, and strategic projects • Comfortable using technology tools • Availability for occasional travel in Canada and the United States • Valid passport and driver’s license • Equivalent experience will be considered
