📋 Description

• Direct month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close routines • Ensure accurate, timely, and GAAP-compliant financial statements and reconciliations • Oversee review of journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and supporting schedules • Partner with FP&A on budget-to-actual variance analyses and operational reporting • Lead financial integration activities for mergers and acquisitions • Direct or assist with specialized initiatives and projects • Provide technical accounting guidance on complex transactions, including ASC 805, ASC 606, ASC 842, and new accounting standards • Oversee accounting data, reconciliations, schedules, and technical input for SEC Forms 10-K, 10-Q, and 8-K • Maintain and monitor the internal controls framework for SOX 404 compliance • Liaise with external auditors and manage audit schedules, requests, and issue resolution • Serve as functional finance lead for the ERP transition, including chart of accounts design, data migration, UAT, and workflow design • Identify and execute financial software automation opportunities • Support treasury operations, including banking relationships, ACH/wires, account structure administration, and positive pay management • Manage, mentor, and foster accountability across a fully remote accounting team • Establish performance goals and support continuous development and cross-functional alignment

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) required • 10+ years of progressive accounting experience • Experience combining public accounting (Big 4 or large regional preferred) and public company environments • Background in healthcare, physician practice management, or health-tech environments preferred • Deep understanding of U.S. GAAP • Experience with SOX 404 compliance and internal controls design • Experience managing internal and external audit engagements • Proven track record of hiring, managing, and developing remote accounting professionals • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Ability to interact effectively across executive leadership, IT, HR, and external auditors • Experience with Workday Financials and/or Microsoft Dynamics highly preferred • Direct experience with enterprise ERP implementations, income tax provision oversight, or corporate treasury operations highly preferred • Minimum 5 MBPS download speed and 3 MBPS upload speed for remote work
