📋 Description

• Create performant services and interfaces primarily in Scala • Work on a medium to large data transformation engine • Work with AWS services and cloud technologies • Collaborate with fellow team members on priorities, technical specifications, code reviews, feature implementation, testing and troubleshooting • Craft well-documented, reusable, and testable code • Work on a system capable of processing petabytes of data • Build and maintain new, high impact functionality into the Signals Data Factory

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of Software Development experience • 2+ years Experience with Scala versions 2 or 3, and related libraries such as Zio • 2+ years Experience SQL/NoSQL such as Postgres • Bachelors Degree is preferred • Experience with data transformation in Spark Scala or Dask python • Experience with database performance in RDS Postgres, Deltalake or other relational databases • Experience with cloud application performance at one of the top 3 providers • Proficiency in modern programming languages • Architecting and performance analysis skills • A good understanding of git workflows • Strongly driven – ability to clarify product requirements into technical specifications, and deliver solid code in a highly distributed and fast-moving environment • Excellent communication skills • Strong problem-solving skills • Ability to mentor other engineers and testers
