📋 Description

• Partner with Divisional HR leadership to implement HR strategies and priorities that strengthen organizational effectiveness and support business objectives • Advise on complex employee relations, workforce, and people-related matters • Provide Human Relations consultation and guidance to leaders in unionized environments • Support labour relations activities, including collective agreement interpretation, grievance management, and partnership with union representatives • Advise leaders on employee and labour relations matters while ensuring compliance with legislation, collective agreements, and organizational policies • Deliver coaching and development programs and leadership support • Analyze organizational needs, workforce data, and program effectiveness metrics to identify gaps and drive continuous improvement • Facilitate organizational design projects and support implementation efforts • Develop short- and long-term workforce plans and recommend hiring, development, and workforce optimization strategies • Support succession planning by identifying critical roles, evaluating successor readiness, and creating development pathways • Provide strategic Human Relations partnership to leaders across Hamilton and London in unionized and non-unionized environments

🎯 Requirements

• Completion of a university degree in Human Resources, social sciences, business, or a related field • Seven years of prior related experience, including managerial leadership and specialized experience within several HR functional areas • Progressive HR generalist experience supporting multiple client groups, locations, or business units • Experience providing strategic HR leadership and business partnership within complex, multi-faceted organizations • Experience navigating unionized and non-unionized work environments • Labour relations knowledge, including collective agreement interpretation and grievance resolution • Ability to lead operational plans, workforce strategies, and team objectives • Ability to build trusted relationships with leaders and stakeholders as an advisor, coach, and problem-solver • Exceptional communication, conflict resolution, and consensus-building skills • Change management and continuous improvement capabilities • Strong leadership, integrity, judgment, discretion, and commitment to The Salvation Army’s mission, values, and culture • CHRL/CPHR designation is an advantage
