📋 Description

• Prepare monthly journal entries, including accruals, prepaid amortization, reclassifications, and recurring and standard entries • Prepare monthly account reconciliations for assigned balance sheet and general ledger accounts • Research and resolve reconciliation variances and escalate unusual items • Compile schedules, supporting documentation, and reconciliations for internal and external audits • Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities according to the close calendar • Maintain organized, audit-ready workpapers and reconciliation files • Analyze general ledger activity and investigate and correct posting errors • Assist with monthly financial reporting schedules and variance analysis • Perform accounting tasks according to established procedures and internal controls • Suggest process improvements to the Accounting Manager • Support ad hoc projects, analyses, and other duties assigned by the Accounting Manager • Report to and work under the direction of the Accounting Manager

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field • One to three years of general accounting experience; month-end close and reconciliation experience preferred • New graduates with relevant internship experience will be considered • Working knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and lookup functions • Experience with an ERP or general ledger system • Multi-location or healthcare industry experience is a plus • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills • Ability to manage multiple deadlines during close • Effective written and verbal communication skills • Ability to work collaboratively across departments • Ability to handle confidential financial information with discretion and professionalism
