📋 Description

• Undertake independent economic and data analyses producing accurate, complete, high-quality work adhering to prescribed methodology • Lead writing of clear, impactful reports using varied tools, including data visualizations • Support development and customization of macroeconomic forecast models • Support research projects of varying complexity using quantitative and qualitative research methods • Filter large amounts of research and stay current on issues affecting assigned areas of responsibility • Contribute to large research projects as part of a team of economists and social science researchers • Prepare meeting materials and contribute to methodological and planning discussions for client engagements • Prioritize competing tasks and meet deadlines • Demonstrate professional values in work and interactions with colleagues and clients • Contribute to development of research project proposals for internal and external audiences

🎯 Requirements

• Two years of professional experience in a related role as an economist or analyst • Masters in economics, economic policy, data science or similar field of study • Knowledge of statistics, econometric modeling, regression analysis, forecasting techniques, and statistical software packages • Experience working with R, Python and/or EViews • Strong research skills and proficiency in synthesizing complex concepts and information from varied sources • Advanced communication skills in English, both oral and written • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with internal and external contacts and customers • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision • Proficiency in a Microsoft Office environment • Productive, professional, and safe home office environment during regular working/business hours • Reliable internet connection • Proficiency in French is an asset
