📋 Description

• Draft, review, and negotiate enterprise agreements, including Master Services Agreements, Terms of Service, Data Processing Addenda, AI Addenda, Reseller Agreements, and vendor contracts • Serve as Sales’ first point of contact for routine contract questions and customer redlines • Apply contract standards and fallback positions, escalating deviations outside approved thresholds • Update and maintain contract templates in the contract management system • Support compliance with Canadian, US, and EU privacy laws, including Quebec’s privacy law, PIPEDA, CCPA, and GDPR • Help run privacy policies, procedures, compliance reviews, and privacy incident response • Update internal privacy policies such as data retention and access request procedures • Help run the AI governance framework and track new privacy and AI laws, including the EU AI Act • Respond to customer and regulator privacy inquiries • Advise on employment questions under Ontario’s Employment Standards Act and other applicable laws • Draft and review internal commission and HR policies • Manage outside counsel on assigned matters • Support legal and compliance projects • Advise Sales, Finance, HR, Product, and Engineering in clear, practical terms • Build self-serve tools including playbooks, FAQs, talk tracks, templates, guidance, and workflows • Promote privacy and security awareness across the company • Own legal matters from start to finish with minimal direction • Assess legal risks in the context of business goals and determine when to escalate • Identify recurring legal questions, process gaps, and emerging risks • Manage competing priorities and deliver accurate, high-quality work

🎯 Requirements

• JD from an accredited Canadian law school • Member in good standing of the Law Society of Ontario • 3–7 years of post-call experience at a law firm, in-house, or both • Experience drafting and negotiating commercial agreements, ideally SaaS or technology contracts • Working knowledge of privacy law • Strong attention to detail • Clear, concise writing • Sound judgment about when to make a call and when to escalate • Ability to manage several urgent matters at once without losing quality • Comfortable creating processes and templates where none exist • Based in the Toronto or Ottawa/National Capital regions • Must undergo a criminal records check upon hire • Be a Canadian Citizen, including dual citizens, or eligible to work in Canada • Willingness to comply with Solink’s security policies and standards • Preferred: in-house experience at a SaaS or technology company, ideally with hardware and software products • Preferred: law firm experience • Preferred: experience with US and EU privacy laws, biometrics, or AI regulation including the EU AI Act • Preferred: Ontario employment law experience • Preferred: experience with Ironclad or another contract management system
