📋 Description

• Design, build, and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code, primarily Terraform • Deploy and manage Compute Engine, Google Kubernetes Engine clusters, Cloud Run, and Cloud Functions • Configure and maintain VPCs, subnetting, firewall rules, VPN/Interconnect, Cloud Load Balancing, certificate management, and Cloud DNS • Administer compute resources across Compute Engine, Cloud Run, and Cloud SQL • Implement and assist in managing IAM roles and permissions following least privilege • Manage secrets with GCP Secret Manager • Manage Cloud Armor and Identity-Aware Proxy • Use Security Command Center to identify and remediate vulnerabilities • Help ensure the environment meets standards such as SOC2 • Establish monitoring and alerting using Google Cloud Observability • Develop and test backup and disaster recovery strategies • Perform system patching and image hardening • Monitor cloud consumption and implement cost-saving measures • Establish billing alerts and resource-labeling standards • Lead migration of on-premises batch scheduling workloads to GCP Composer/Apache Airflow • Design and implement scalable DAGs for data pipelines and batch jobs • Analyze legacy schedules for parallelization, optimization, and modernization • Manage cutover events with zero data loss and minimal downtime • Participate in on-call support and emergency troubleshooting

🎯 Requirements

• 3–5+ years of professional experience managing production environments in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) • 3–5 years of proven experience supporting the migration of on-premises batch scheduling systems to GCP Composer or Apache Airflow • Proven expertise with Terraform for provisioning cloud resources • Strong proficiency with Docker and Kubernetes (K8s) • Expert-level knowledge of Linux administration • Deep understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, and Load Balancing • Availability for support during standard business hours and non-business hours • GCP Professional Cloud Architect or Professional Data Engineer certification preferred • Experience with GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Google Cloud Build preferred • Proficiency in Python, specifically for Airflow/Composer DAG development, preferred
