• Install, commission, troubleshoot, repair, calibrate, maintain, and qualify Chromatography and Trace Elemental instrumentation • Perform preventive maintenance and emergency repairs to maximize customer productivity and instrument uptime • Deliver technical support and build trusted customer relationships • Manage service schedules, complete documentation, and close work orders using company systems • Complete required product training and maintain technical certifications • Work safely in customer laboratory environments while following company and customer safety requirements • Collaborate with colleagues across the Service organization to provide technical support and share expertise • Represent Thermo Fisher Scientific professionally in customer interactions • Support customers throughout Greater Montreal, Quebec, and occasionally Eastern Canada • Travel to the United States for initial and ongoing technical training and business support
• Diploma, Associate's degree, Bachelor's degree, or equivalent experience in Chemistry, Electronics, Engineering Technology, Physical Sciences, or a related technical discipline • 5+ years of field service experience supporting analytical instrumentation or equivalent technical experience • Experience across both Chromatography and Trace Elemental instrumentation preferred • Hands-on service experience supporting at least three of Ion Chromatography, Liquid Chromatography, ICP-OES, and ICP-MS preferred • Strong troubleshooting, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills • Professional proficiency in both French and English, spoken and written, required • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced field environment • Commitment to safety in customer laboratory environments • Valid driver's license with a safe driving record • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. with assistance and routinely transport service tools and equipment • Frequent travel throughout Quebec and occasional overnight travel • Eligibility for international travel, including to the United States • Ability to obtain and maintain necessary travel documentation, including a valid passport • Must already be legally authorized to work in Canada; visa sponsorship and international relocation assistance are unavailable
