• Report to the Base Manager and be an active member of the team within the assigned job category • Lead and supervise the work of others and be accountable for crew performance • Conduct annual evaluations of assigned crew members • Coordinate staff assignments to maximize production flow • Sign or coordinate the signing of maintenance updates for unlicensed personnel • Plan, coordinate, and execute daily work • Participate in developing the production plan and report on its progress • Resolve material, tooling, and engineering issues affecting the plan • Estimate and define planned repairs • Assign and direct the work of maintenance personnel within the assigned category • Provide direction to other categories working directly within the area of responsibility • Provide hands-on, on-site training and coaching to maintenance personnel • Ensure compliance with airworthiness and safety policies, processes, and standards • Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety standards • Ensure that engine and component maintenance records are complete • Take ownership of the area of responsibility • Maintain a safe and orderly workplace • Supervise and approve timesheets and vacation requests for engine, avionics, and hydraulic/component maintenance technicians • Provide a safe and healthy workplace, including the necessary equipment, systems, and tools • Ensure employees understand and comply with occupational health and safety requirements and receive adequate supervision
• Minimum of three (3) years of experience in workshop maintenance operations (NT12) • Leadership skills and the ability to lead a team in a diverse, fast-paced, and changing environment • Positive and professional attitude; ability to proactively identify and resolve issues with minimal supervision • Strong knowledge of RAMCO is an asset • Demonstrated experience supporting and conducting safe operations, including occupational health and safety, flight safety, procedures, human factors, and related areas • Good customer service skills • Strong time-management and organizational skills • Excellent communication skills, with discretion, professionalism, and diplomacy • Good computer skills, including Microsoft applications and email applications • Ability to multitask and prioritize competing requests • Ability to take initiative and work independently • Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills • Level II security clearance with the Government of Canada • Ability to access the Canadian Controlled Goods Program
