📋 Description

• Develop, create, and modify general computer applications software and specialized utility programs • Design, build, and maintain microservices in a cloud native architecture • Operate and support an enterprise-scale production system • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve complex system issues • Analyze user needs and develop robust software solutions aligned with business and mission goals • Analyze, design, and optimize relational and NoSQL databases • Participate in code reviews, pair programming, and mentoring of junior developers • Collaborate with DevOps, QA, Security, Product, and Architecture teams • Migrate current-system functionality from mainframes to AWS GovCloud • Transition investigative search capabilities to Elasticsearch or similar technologies • Build microservices on OpenShift-based container platforms • Implement full-stack components and UI integration layers using modern JavaScript frameworks • Support event-driven architectures and high-throughput data processing systems • Participate in a rotating on-call schedule one week out of every four • Acknowledge on-call contacts within 15 minutes • Remain accessible to a secure work laptop during on-call periods • Begin assessing or troubleshooting requests within 60 minutes of notification

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 5 years of work experience or Associate’s Degree with a minimum of 7 years of experience • Active Tier 3 Secret clearance (or higher); candidates without an active clearance cannot be considered • Strong proficiency in Object-Oriented Programming, Java, and the Spring Boot framework • Experience developing microservices, REST APIs, and cloud native applications • Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Helm charts, and container orchestration in OpenShift or similar platforms • Experience designing, developing, and operating solutions in AWS or other cloud platforms • Hands-on experience with Apache Kafka for event-driven architectures and enterprise message brokers such as IBM MQ, RabbitMQ, or ActiveMQ • Experience with observability tooling including distributed tracing, structured logging, and metrics collection • Experience working within GitOps practices • Experience working within Agile frameworks, including Scrum/SAFe ceremonies • Familiarity with Atlassian tools including Jira, Confluence, and Bitbucket • Ability to write clear technical documentation including API documentation, architecture decisions, and implementation notes • Experience with artifact repository managers is beneficial but not required • Positive, collaborative attitude and commitment to team success • Accountability, professionalism, strong work ethic, adaptability, and solution-oriented mindset
