📋 Description

• Set the strategy for TwelveLabs' application layer, including users, workflows, product scope, and priorities • Identify focused market wedges through customer discovery, rapid prototyping, and disciplined market testing • Ship AI-native applications for non-technical users on top of core models, agent harness, and shared infrastructure • Define application-specific evaluations, task-success criteria, reliability thresholds, human review, and launch guardrails • Own activation, engagement, retention, monetization, and customer value for shipped applications • Build learning loops between users and products using usage data and customer behavior • Define platform and model requirements including capabilities, APIs, latency, quality, and reliability • Partner with Design, Research, Engineering, Product, Commercial, Revenue, and Partnerships • Work with lighthouse customers and convert learnings into reusable products • Recruit and lead a lean, high-performing applications team • Establish a culture of speed, craft, direct user contact, and accountability • In the first 90 days, identify promising users and workflows, select application wedges, prototype with users, establish evals and thresholds, define team boundaries, and make critical hires • In the first 3 months, launch a real product, demonstrate repeated use and measurable customer value, instrument product metrics, demonstrate user ROI, productize customer work, prioritize core technology improvements, and build a small autonomous team • In the first 6 months, establish a path to product-market fit, create repeatable growth and monetization, define the next-product portfolio thesis, and strengthen platform, models, customer understanding, and go-to-market

🎯 Requirements

• 12+ years of experience across product and product leadership roles, preferably at early to mid stage software companies • Experience building and growing a product from zero to meaningful adoption • Exceptional product judgment • Technical fluency working with engineers and researchers on architecture, model behavior, latency, evaluation, reliability, and cost • Understanding of AI-native products, including probabilistic behavior, evaluation design, trust, human review, privacy and rights constraints, and quality/latency/cost tradeoffs • Experience designing or leading growth loops that improved activation, retention, distribution, or monetization • Experience recruiting and building an early team of unusually strong, low-ego people • Ability to operate before every function has its own leader • Direct involvement using products, talking with users, and inspecting data • Ability to move quickly, create evidence, make decisions, and change course based on evidence • Clear communication across research, engineering, design, and go-to-market teams • No single educational path is required
