📋 Description

• Own and scale brokerage general ledger processes • Lead cross-functional efforts for accurate journal entries, reconciliations, and reporting for client transactional data • Investigate general-ledger data anomalies and trace root causes • Design automated, long-term solutions for systemic issues • Coordinate operational deliverables for brokerage audits, including SOC, FinOps, and MFRs • Maintain robust process documentation • Monitor internal and external ledger transfer bookings and track timelines for exception handling • Partner with Engineering to automate manual workflows, reduce operational risk, and support new product launches • Mentor team members • Design process improvements that reduce manual burden and eliminate single points of failure

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in brokerage or broker-dealer accounting, finance, or ledger operations • Direct general ledger experience operating an in-house or non-outsourced ledger day-to-day • Ability to communicate technical requirements to Engineering and accounting logic to Finance • Experience with regulatory oversight, such as Monthly Financial Reports (MFRs) or SOC audit support • Hands-on experience mapping software systems like Oracle GL or NetSuite is nice to have • Hands-on experience using SQL is nice to have • Legally eligible to work in Canada • Permanent residence in Canada
