📋 Description

• Set the long-term vision and strategy for Wealthsimple's Connectivity Platform • Define build-versus-buy and partnership strategy for connectivity capabilities • Develop a roadmap balancing immediate product needs with reusable platform investments • Own end-to-end automated and manual bank and brokerage account-linking experiences • Improve connection success, reliability and institutional coverage • Own connector routing strategy across Plaid, Flinks and WST • Own client experiences for institution selection, authentication, errors, recovery and connection management • Drive reliability and AI-powered self-healing for failed connections • Balance conversion, fraud exposure and operational load with risk and operations partners • Develop platform capabilities for consistent consumption of external financial data • Own vendor relationships and product integrations with Plaid and Flinks • Own strategy and roadmap for Wealthsimple's Public API and external data connectivity • Define authentication, consent, permissions, data access and partner-integration capabilities • Prioritize partners and use cases for Wealthsimple clients • Advance Wealthsimple and the industry toward open banking • Collaborate across Engineering, Design, Security, Legal, Compliance, Operations and external partners • Build the metrics, roadmap and investment case for the platform's future

🎯 Requirements

• Experience owning a platform, API, developer product or integrations platform, with metric-attached outcomes such as conversion, success rate or reliability • Technical depth working with engineers on APIs, authentication, data models, routing and platform architecture • Experience delivering through external vendors or partners, including build-versus-buy decisions and vendor accountability • Comfort treating reliability as product work, including error taxonomies, failure recovery, observability and operational load • Experience weighing growth against fraud, risk and compliance • Ability to develop clear product strategy and long-term vision for technical capabilities • Strong analytical skills using data to understand reliability, conversion, coverage and product performance • Cross-functional leadership across Engineering, Design, Security, Legal, Compliance, Operations and external partners • Ability to simplify complicated systems • Nice to have: experience with open banking, Canada's consumer-driven banking framework or data-sharing standards • Nice to have: background in financial data aggregation • Nice to have: experience shipping a public API or developer platform as a commercial product • Must permanently reside in Canada or the United States and be legally eligible to work in Canada or the United States
